[Yanel-dev] Split Path

Dear Balz

I think we never really finished the split path implementation, whereas
I know that for certain projects we are using split path, but this might
be a custom implementation.

Btw, we recently just updated the Linux filesystem for one of our
customers to "xfs", because we reached the limit, and "xfs" has
basically no limit anymore and works very well!
