[Yanel-dev] Fwd: Re: [Jelly] Is development still in progress

I am still thinking about alternatives, but did not find a concrete
alternative, I'll let you know when something gets concrete (like my JAXB
suggestion some weeks ago).

The most important points of a UI framework for me are:
- Tool support (Eclipse, Netbeans) -> You see while typing whether the code
is grammatically correct or not, auto-complete, etc.
- Usually you need property values in the Front-End from your
backend-components (e.g. a Yanel Resource). Using them should be as easy as
a Java property in a Java class (realtime binding to a property in a java
class)

My personal favorite is Facelets, but I don't know yet whether that can
co-exist with Yanel:
- Facelet has become a standard (It is part of JSF 2.0, but also runs
without JSF)
- It has a very elegant binding of UI-parameters with your Java class in the
backend.
- Tool support has become commodity already
- If you Google for it, make sure you google for Facelets in JSF2, the old
Facelets was not yet there...

Example in german: http://blog.namics.com/2010/07/neu-in-jsf2-1.html
