Refactor the from-scratch resource template in revision 41804.
Also adding the initial half-day I spent researching that while at Wyona.


Instead of fixing this bug I am leaving it open but making it P3 so that people
know the problem is still there: all committers can then tackle it little by
little and when done finally close it!
