Is the TODO list in comment #7 still complete and uptodate?
Could you provide an estimate for the items or alternatively the whole list (if
it's under say one half day)?

So whatever editor we choose the other things TODO would be:
 - integrate it somehow in the from-scratch realm
 - at least manually test the latest features, esp. validation (maybe Simone
could help there)
 - move(or copy?) all the relevant files from the contributions SVN space to
the main Yanel space, if we need that for releasing or clarifying that we fully
endorse this very editor
