BTW which page would you suggest we display in that case in addition to 
the toolbar?
Maybe we could redirect to 
http://foo.bar/yanel/REALM_ID/RESERVED_PREFIX/help.html?yanel.toolbar=on 
(which is always present) then?

Well, as I tried to explain the easy-to-remember URL would not add the 
toolbar permanently, but only for one HTTP request. Then all links 
should be rewritten to include yanel.toolbar=on, which then would not 
need to save any state: more correct but arguably probably much more work.
