Well, yes. But binding st to sot is where the similarities end of

AFAICS this is GUI related stuff and therefore OT. I did not refer to  
yulup's GUI (or Michi's notion of "widgets" for that matter) but to  
how generic formatting components can be bound to the data model in use.

Again, I think we should debate this on the neutron list.
