It might be interesting to check if Neutron can be applied to the 
solution of Daisy.

Hi Michi!

It is attached to the Daisy repository API which reflects the Daisy  
repository model. It's a tiny standalone applications which connects  
to the repo, downloads a document with all of this parts, takes care  
of locking (IIRC) and allows you to launch an associated editor using  
JDIC (https://jdic.dev.java.net/).
